Client FAQs

Communication by voice note enables asynchronous coaching and mentoring and can work brilliantly around your schedule.

Efficient and effective, this way of working means that previously unreachable successful entrepreneurs and coaches are now accessible.
Coachvox is a voice note-based coaching and mentoring platform. Our marketplace enables a client (someone looking for a coach or mentor) to find a coach or mentor with the perfect experience, knowledge and industry expertise.

Once a client has found their ideal coach, they apply to begin working with them. Coachvox enables the client and coach to communicate securely and effectively via voice note, so clients achieve their goals faster.

According to Forbes, “76% of business owners think having a mentor is important but only 37% have one.”

Entrepreneurs succeed better with guidance. Coaching and mentoring is hugely valuable for business owners, leaders and professionals. Learning from those even just a few steps ahead can prevent mistakes, save time and create breakthroughs. Having a second opinion from someone who’s been there before can be the difference between success and failure.

Coachvox brings coaches together with clients to make progress happen faster for everyone.

The individuals who could make the most difference to your business probably can’t meet you for an hour. They could, however, engage with you via Coachvox.

We’re big believers in flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness, especially in business. Communication by voice note enables coaches and their clients to provide considered responses at convenient times.

This efficiency can create incredible value on both sides, enabling clients to access coaches that wouldn’t ordinarily have the space, and enabling coaches to challenge and guide their clients in a way that encourages self-sufficiency, not dependency.

Whilst there are undoubted benefits to having face-to-face meetings or real time calls, we believe that sending considered voice notes one at a time is a strong alternative option that brings many benefits.

Coaching by voice note is an effective and efficient way for clients to reach their personal and professional goals.

Responses can be considered and planned so there’s no waffle or going off topic. Busy diaries don’t need to be matched up, which makes for a productive two-way relationship with no blockers to progress.
There’s an art to voice note communication. Clarity is key and succinctness is important. Suggestions, observations and questions can be considered beforehand, which makes the most productive use of time for both parties.

When it comes to voice notes, duration does not always equal value. Often it’s the opposite. For this reason, voice notes are capped at five minutes
Each coach specifies their working style and service level agreement and this is outlined in their profile. As you work together, you will find a natural cadence that suits both of you.
Coachvox is completely free to join. Once you sign up you can explore all coaches and choose the one that’s right for you.

Coaches set their own price on Coachvox so there are options for all budgets. Their price depends on their experience and the level of service they offer (response times, response days, and so on). The prices quoted on each coach’s profile are for one month of service.

The monthly price you see is what you pay, inclusive of platform and Stripe fees, there are no additional fees.

Each coach specifies how many clients they can work with and once those slots are gone you can join a waiting list for the next available space. Popular coaches can be fully booked within minutes.
We have incredible, inspirational, professional coaches ready to engage with you on Coachvox. Coaches include technology entrepreneurs, founders of impressive companies, entrepreneurs who are specialists in areas including raising investment, growing a team, scaling a business and exiting for multimillion dollar deals.

We have qualified coaches across business including topics such as sales, presenting, marketing and branding, goal setting, growth, mindset, diversity and inclusion and book publishing. We have television presenters, elite athletes, social media influencers, philanthropists and bestselling authors.
Selection: Choose a coach with the experience you’re looking for, who is achieving goals that you find aspirational.

Enrollment: When applying to enroll with your chosen coach, explain what you’re looking for and why you want to work with them.

Introduction: After enrollment, introduce yourself in detail. Explain your journey, your challenges and what you are looking for help with.

Consistency: Check in, pose questions and ask for advice regularly. Let your coach hold you accountable. Be open to learning, being challenged, and making progress together.

Feedback: If something isn’t working for you, let your coach know. If you have suggestions on your working relationship, let your coach know.
You’ll have seen us discuss coaching and mentoring as two different concepts. The main difference is that a coach tends to ask questions to help you identify the best way forward whereas a mentor may offer advice and suggestions based on their experience.

There is cross-over between the two and each Coachvox coach or mentor will explain more about how they work with their clients in their profiles.
We don’t want clients to pay for services by the hour. What’s most important is the value they receive from their investment.

There are many intangibles when it comes to coaching and mentoring; the tacit knowledge of the coach, the time they spend thinking of the solutions and how effectively they communicate, to name a few. We want clients to build lasting relationships with their coach and not be thinking about the clock ticking.
All Coachvox coaches undertake a rigorous vetting process before joining the platform. Viewing a coach’s profile will display their specific qualifications and experience. We also carry out extensive quality checks to ensure they are people who practice what they preach.

We encourage you to select a coach whose industry is similar to yours and whose experience is akin to your aspirations.
Yes. We will ask you to review your experience with your coach or mentor after your first full month of working together.
When you enroll with a coach on Coachvox, you are signing up to a coaching relationship that is billed monthly. You will be billed each month, for the same amount, on the same date.

Each arrangement is monthly rolling, with no minimum term.

Absolutely! It’s a great idea to have a coach for different aspects of your life and work. Perhaps you want a mindset coach, a relationship coach and an accountability partner for your business empire. With Coachvox you communicate with each coach from the appropriate section in your app.

We are big believers in having someone to learn from, someone to teach, and someone to spar with. Perhaps you’re being coached by someone further along their journey, but your experience could benefit someone at the start of theirs. You are very welcome to apply to be a coach on Coachvox. Just hit the “become a coach” button on the homepage.

A coach or mentor is not there to run your life or business for you, they are there to pose questions and provide guidance or accountability. If you’re not happy with your results, work out the true cause of the issue.

We recommend speaking to your coach if you have suggestions or requests for your arrangement. Remember: they are on your side, rooting for you, wanting you to do well. All Coachvox coaches are open to feedback and happy to adapt to their clients.

If you have an issue you’d like to escalate to us, please contact support with specific details and we will do our very best to help.
You can cancel your coaching before each month’s billing date from within your Coachvox dashboard. Although it is easy for you to cancel your arrangement, we do ask for feedback, and we do like you to communicate with your coach beforehand so they know why, out of courtesy.

Although long term relationships are often more beneficial for both client and coach, we understand that coaching arrangements can run their natural course. We make it straightforward for you to end your relationship with no hidden charges or surprises.

We advise only cancelling if you are absolutely sure you want to stop working with your coach. As soon as a cancellation takes place we let the coach’s waiting list know there is a space available, so your slot will likely be taken as soon as your current month ends and you’ll need to join a waiting list to get it back.

Please note, if you cancel in the middle of a month, you will still have the arrangement until the month’s end date.

We use Stripe for our payment portal and any receipts for payments will be emailed to you after the transaction has processed. You can download duplicate receipts in your Coachvox dashboard.

Coach FAQs

We’re big believers in flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness, especially in business. Communication by voice note enables coaches and their clients to provide considered responses at convenient times.

This efficiency can create incredible value on both sides, enabling clients to access coaches that wouldn’t ordinarily have the space, and enabling coaches to challenge and guide their clients in a way that encourages self-sufficiency, not dependency.

Coaching by voice is an integral part of many coaching relationships. Many coaches already use voice messaging apps to communicate with their clients. However, Coachvox is a purpose-built platform, specifically for coaching.

Coachvox has an advanced feature set compared with a simple instant messaging app including a client management dashboard that handles client billing and onboarding. This makes Coachvox an end-to-end solution for those coaching professionals taking coaching by voice note seriously.

Coachvox currently works on a commission basis. This means there are no up-front costs for you to get started. Coachvox charges a flat 10% commission on all bookings placed through the platform.
Voice notes from clients are capped at 5 minutes to encourage succinctness. You also have the ability to speed up playback.

The duration of the voice notes you send to your clients are not capped.
You are in control of your coaching relationships on Coachvox. Your clients are aware of the response times and days you’ve specified.

It’s up to you how responsive you are within those parameters. The asynchronous nature of Coachvox means there’s no expectation of an instant response. How many responses you send to clients a week will depend on your style and working relationship.
We let coaches clarify whether their style is more coaching or mentoring.

The main difference is that coaching involves asking questions and holding space for clients to find answers from within. Mentoring is more about offering suggestions or advice based on experience or opinion.
Currently, Coachvox work on a monthly subscription basis. However, if you only work with clients for a fixed three-month period, for example, you can specify this in your profile.

We are big believers in having someone to learn from, someone to teach, and someone to spar with. Perhaps you’re being coached by someone further along their journey, but your experience could benefit someone at the start of theirs. Simply check out our coaches and apply to work with one.

We use Stripe for our payment portal meaning your clients pay you directly. Everything can be managed from within the Coachvox dashboard once Stripe is connected, including receipts and monthly subscription dates.
